This article explains how to use the OCC EarlyWatch Alert data provider.

The EarlyWatch Alert data provider supports the following renderers :

  • TABLE_HISTORY_RENDERER
  • DYNAMIC_TABLE (one query is supported)
  • STACK_COLUMN_CHART

3.1. Metric Description

Sap

Rating: This metric returns the worst rating for the selected filters and the requested time period.

The possible rating values returned are 0: green, 1: yellow and 2: red

Remark:

Here is the rating mapping:

  • Verycritical:Red
  • Critical : Yellow
  • OK, information rating : Green
  • No data,no rating provided :Grey

3.2. Filters

There are three possible filters :

  • Systems
  • Chapters
  • Tables

For a selected system we displayallchapters for the last EarlyWatch alert session.

For a selected system, chapter and a table we display the table content in a dynamic table.

3.3. Filters Description

3.3.1. Filtering on system

With such query we display all Early Watch Alert sessions details for a selected time range.

You can jump to the SAP EarlyWatch Alert Report application of any session from the table by clicking on the session ID.

  • Table History renderer:

With TABLE_HISTORY_RENDERER we show the rating of the sessions found for selected system in selected time range.

PS:

In order to replace the shown value with the appropriate rating color, we have to add « |G2Y=1|Y2R=2|COLOR_RATING=Only » to eachqueryso the new display willbe as shown in the screenshotbellow:

3.3.2. Filtering on system and chapter:

  • Dynamic table renderer:

With such query we display the chapters rating for the last Early Watch Alert session for a selected system for a selected time range.

You can navigate to the SAP EarlyWatch Alert Report Application and visualize any chapter of the last EWA session by clicking on the Chapter Name.

  • Table History renderer:

With TABLE_HISTORY_RENDERER we show the rating of the chapters found for selected system in selected time range.

3.3.3. Filtering on system, chapter and a table:

With such query we display the chapter table content for the last Early Watch Alert session for a selected system for a selected time range.

Example: we show the TOP 10 SQL statements on selected system.


  • Stack Column Chart renderer:

Using the Stack Column Chart we can display chapter table content in a chart.

The query is:

Indications:

1/ The first column of the table will be considered as X axis, the other columns are considered as stacked Y values

2/ Please make sure that, a part from the first column, the other columns to be displayed contains only measures, they must be numbers.

3/ In case you have ' Check selected renderer' message, please verify that the table content is fulfilling the two conditions listed above.

4/ You can choose to display only some columns from the table via adding the attribute : 'DISPLAY_ATTRIBUTES ' in the query

Example:

  • The X axis: Task type ( Any type )
  • The Y values: are the following columns Dialog Steps and Load in s ( Must be numbers)

Once the application is launched:

1. Enter My SAP EarlyWatch Alert Reportsin the search field

2. Click on the search button.

3. Enter the name of Technical system

4. Select the period

5. Click on the mentioned button in the following screenshot to access to the chapters of the mentioned system

PS: We are filtering on system and chapter so the returned rating in the OCC Dashboard should be the same as the chapter rating and not the system rating.
