1. Review the Existing Archive log State

conn sys as sysda

archive log list;

2. Review or Update the Archive Log Parameters namely

• LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1

• LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2 (We will set this to FRA)

• LOG_ARCHIVE_FORMAT (OPTIONAL as the Default value could be used )

• LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_STATE_1

• LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_STATE_2

• LOG_ARCHIVE_MIN_SUCCEED_DEST

3. Shutdown in Immediate

4. Start the Database in Mount Mode

4. Enable Archive log

5. Open the Database

Now the Database is in Archivelog Mode and can be verified using the Archive Log List Command
